Red Bolling was born on July 2, 2009 just days after founder David Boling was displaced from his banking career. What is Red Bolling?
Simply put, Red Bolling is an idea of perseverance. An idea that nothing is ever hopeless or lost as long as you keep pushing forward. No matter what circumstances you face in life, in business, or in sport, failure only happens when you quit fighting to survive.
In the mid seventeenth century the term Red Bolling was born when Col. Robert Bolling of London, England travelled to the new world and met his first wife, Jane Rolfe. Jane was the granddaughter of Pocahantas and and John Rolfe through their only child Thomas Rolfe. Shortly after Jane Rolfe gave birth to the first Bolling born in the new world she would pass away. Col. Robert Bolling would remarry Anne Stith. The Bolling descendants of Pocahantas would be called Red Bolling and the Bolling descendants of Anne Stith would be called White Bollings.
If it were not for the persistence of survival of Thomas Rolfe and Jane Rolfe's son, John Bolling then the Native American blood line of Pocahantas would have died out long ago. I would not be here today.
We can all survive with perseverance and we can all grow with persistence. Red Bolling's mission is simply to teach, motivate, and support to make sure that happens.
